What is the academic format of the four-week program?
Penn Medicine Summer Program for High School Students
While every day is a little different, traditionally, students will be in lectures in the AM and have a hands-on educational activity (demonstration, lab, simulation) in the afternoon, which complements the morning lecture. For example, the morning may include lectures on various areas of surgery, and in the afternoon, students will visit the UPenn Simulation Center to practice robotic surgery. Accepted students will receive the academic calendar one week before arriving in the program.
